Born in NY, USA. Married, three children. Studied medicine in Geneva. Training in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases. Regular teaching activities at the faculty of Medicine in Geneva since 2001. Clinical activities in Pulmonary Diseases mainly for outpatients with a special focus on chronic respiratory failure, and tuberculosis. Head of Geneva TB center, which treats 90% of TB cases in our area and organizes contact tracing procedures. Clinical research in the field of tuberculosis and in the field of chronic respiratory failure (CRF), non-invasive ventilation (NIV), interactions between sleep and CRF, and sleep and NIV. Present research also involves palliative care and COPD.
